Outage Rocks Healthcare.gov on Obamacare Deadline Day

"Healthcare.gov has a lot of visitors right now!"

UPDATE 1:14 p.m. ET: The enrollment section of Healthcare.gov went down again Monday afternoon:

Just hours before the deadline for enrolling in the Affordable Care Act, a vital section of the Healthcare.gov appeared to experience an outage Monday morning.

"Healthcare.gov has a lot of visitors right now!" a message greeted users attempting to access the online page for enrolling.

"We need you to wait here, so we can make sure there's room for you to have a good experience on the site," it added.

According to CNBC, the enrollment section of the website initially went offline at 3:20 a.m. It appeared to be back up and running just after 8 a.m. ET.

It was not immediately clear what took the section of the website offline.

Nevertheless, NBC News warned users they should "expect queues" today.

The deadline for signing up for coverage under the Affordable Care Act is Monday at midnight.
