Trio of Thugs Display Special Kind of Evil When Former Marine Tries to Help Them After a Car Crash
April 16, 2014
"A tire? I think you need more than that."
When former Marine Ralph Tackett, 49, heard a car crash occur outside his Florida home, he didn’t think twice about lending a helping hand.
A man first approached him and asked him if he had a spare tire. The victim’s son remembers his dad replying, “A tire? I think you need more than that.”
Without warning, one of the three suspects shot Tackett in the face.
Realizing his life was in serious danger, the former Marine somehow managed to hit one of the suspects by swinging his car door open. He was then able to run back into his home.
The three suspects, who are currently being hunted by Florida police, stole Tackett’s car and fled the scene. It was later discovered that the car that the suspects crashed was also stolen from another former Marine.
Thankfully, Tackett survived the incident. He underwent surgery where doctors placed three plates in his jaw. The father of two is still missing teeth and will require additional surgery.
One of the disheartening parts of this story is the fact that Tackett, who is apparently known for helping others, is now apprehensive about being a good Samaritan — and understandably so.
