Watching a Veteran Reunite With His Bomb-Sniffing Dog Will Absolutely Make Your Day
May 03, 2014
"She looked at me, she started smelling me — she knew me, I think right when she saw me."
A new video posted online by the Chicago Tribune shows a veteran reunite with a bomb-sniffing dog he served with abroad.
On Wednesday, Sgt. Jason Bos greeted service dog "Cila" at the airport — and it's safe to say she remembered who he was.
Bos explained that it was difficult for him to return home after serving without Cila, knowing that there was only a slim chance he'd ever see her again.
"And so when I got the news that she was going to retire out — and if I wanted her — of course I wanted her," he said. "I was excited, pumped up, very enthusiastic. I didn't think it was going to happen."
