Watch the Terrifying Moment a Great White Shark Attacked a Rubber Boat

Footage posted online Friday shows the terrifying moment a great white shark attacked a rubber boat off the coast of South Africa.

According to Barcroft TV, the video shows a 12-foot female shark bite into the vessel, tearing chunks from the boat causing part of it to deflate.

"Hey, hey," an individual can be heard on video saying at the outset of the attack. "S***!"

The tourists had been on a sightseeing tour to catch a glimpse of some seals when the shark appeared in the waters.

Rainer Schimpf, the expedition organizer, told Barcroft TV that he believes the great white mistook the boat for a dead whale.

The shark ultimately caused a little more than $3,000 in damage.
