What a Teacher Was Caught on Tape Telling Students Has Him Under Investigation

"I don't think he needs to be teaching."

An Ohio middle school teacher has been removed from the classroom after a vulgar classroom rant was captured on video, spurring an investigation.

Footage of the SuccessTech math teacher, who was identified as Mr. Rogers by WOIO-TV, shows him admitting to students that he used vulgar language in class — then issuing a challenge for them to complain to the district CEO if they are unhappy about it.

"I said the F word four times," he boasts. "Go tell Eric Gordan. Write it all down. You give a damn."

In another scene, the teacher told students, "Your dads are abusive and I don't give a f***."

The mother of the student who captured the rant on film told WOIO that she doesn't think the man belongs in the classroom.

"I don't think he needs to be teaching," Tina Johnson said.

According to WOIO, district CEO Gordan did not return requests for comment, so the local news team tracked him down at an event.

"After you brought it to our attention, we immediately called the principal and started an investigation to find out the facts of it," Gordan told the station then.

The teacher reportedly visited the classroom Thursday to apologize to students, but will not be back pending the outcome of the district's investigation.
