A Power Drill, Bucket and Toilet Bowl Brush: How These Can Help You Peel a Bag of Potatoes in Less Than a Minute

"Only a man."

First, it was how to cut several grapes in half at the same time, instead of individually. Now, here's a trick for those who can't stand peeling a sack of potatoes.

Leo Morten Lund of Denmark showed how it was done on Facebook Sunday, with the post being shared more than 85,000 times since then.

Here's what you need: one bag of new potatoes, a power drill with a long metal attachment, a new, never used toilet bowl brush with stiff bristles, a hose (or other steady water source) and a bucket.

With the potatoes in the bucket and the toilet bowl brush attached to the end of the drill (or perhaps you could find an actual drill brush attachment), turn the water onto the potatoes and give it a whirl. About 50 seconds later, you have a pot of nicely peeled — and washed — spuds.

Lund admits that the trick is "rather lazy," but it sure is a time saver.

Admittedly, this isn't as simple as the grape cutting trick, but it could very well come in handy when the holidays roll around and you're tasked with bringing the mashed potatoes.
