Border crisis: Obama back in pre-9/11 mindset

I was joined by Ruben Navarrette Jr. on The Chris Salcedo Show this past Saturday. We were attempting to hash out the current immigration crisis precipitated by President Obama’s wrong-headed Dream Act by executive order issued before the last presidential election.

During the interview, Navarrette indicated that he was informed by multiple sources that the Obama team, in an effort to hide the truth about the severity of the immigration crisis, has not only forbidden the Border Patrol to talk to the media and the press but has ordered the Border Patrol not to communicate the truth with other law enforcement agencies.

If these sources are correct, this signals that Obama’s light footprint/lead-from-behind foreign policy has crept into domestic policy.

It was a similar wall of secrecy, erected by another liberal American government, which prevented our intelligence agencies from sharing vital intelligence that could have prevented the 9/11 attacks in September of 2001. It is another clear sign that the administration has learned nothing from our nation’s recent history.  This makes our current government even more dangerous to the safety and security of our nation.
