Surveillance Video Doesn't Just Show a Terrifying Handgun Assault, but What Five Other People Did Afterward

"They spit at each other, then one guy pulled out a gun."

Police are hunting for a suspect caught on camera shooting someone at a stunningly close range at store in a New York City borough over the weekend. The suspect then whipped the victim with his handgun before stepping over the injured man to leave.

According to the New York Daily News, the store owner said the incident started between the two men during an argument had while they were shooting a rap video early Saturday. More specifically, Ali Abdul told the newspaper they were "fighting over who’s the star, who’s better.

Surveillance footage showed the suspect shoot the man several times. He proceeded to hit the man with the silver weapon before he and five other people walked over the victim who remained on the ground, his legs twitching.

“They were drunk. They spit at each other, then one guy pulled out a gun and shot the other guy five times," Abdul told the Daily News, adding that he had seen them before and thought they seemed like “best friends.”

According to the police, the 37-year-old victim was transported to the hospital and remains in critical condition
