The White House on Wednesday confirmed that a video depicting James Foley being beheaded by a Islamic State terrorist is indeed authentic, a number of new outlets, including the BBC, are reporting.
The disturbing video, which appeared briefly on YouTube on Tuesday, depicts Foley making a number of statements before facing execution at the hands of a jihadist dressed in black.
