Mother Battling Cancer Shares Last Dance With Her Son at His Wedding 72-Hours Before Passing Away

"I think that everybody kind of realized what they were seeing ... A miracle."

Heartbreaking footage posted online earlier this month shows a California mother share a final dance with her son at his wedding just three days before losing her battle with cancer.

"It was very special," Ryan Manning told KTVU-TV.

Ryan's mother, 61-year-old mother Mary Ann, lost her three-year fight with breast cancer a mere 72-hours after attending the September 5th wedding in Dublin.

"She wanted to get to this wedding," daughter Kristie Manning told KTVU. "She didn't care how she had to do it, whether that meant pumping more chemo in her body, whatever."

"I think that everybody kind of realized what they were seeing and what they were seeing was an incredibly strong woman doing a magnificent thing. A miracle," Ryan added.

According to family members, Mary Ann was in a wheelchair just moments before she stood up and danced with her son to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

"It was incredibly emotional, especially to see her pop out of the wheelchair," daughter Karie Chamberlain told KTVU. "For the days leading up to the wedding, we were helping her do everything, even walk. To see her just jump up, it was amazing."

Footage posted online started going viral this week, amassing more than 100,000 views on YouTube.

"She held on with all her might to give her son this last gift. It's really the epitome of a mother's love," the video's description said.

"There is absolutely no doubt that that woman, a very strong woman, fought incredibly hard to get to that point," Ryan told KTVU.
