Something ‘Incredible’ (But Possibly Dangerous) Happens When Dry Ice Is Dropped Into Boiling Water

A new video posted online shows what happens when dry ice is suddenly dropped into a pot of boiling water.
Published to YouTube Wednesday, the video — which amassed more than 300,000 views — appears to show the dry ice dissipate into CO2 gas, creating a fog effect.
"Incredible," one individual commented on YouTube.
"Unbelievable," another echoed.

"This is so cool," yet another person wrote.
However, while many were enthralled by the effect of dropping the dry ice in boiling water, others warned not to do it, cautioning that it can be dangerous because of the large volume of CO2 released.
