Throughout the last century, the world watched as innovation paved the way for auto racing. Well, innovation is at it again. Only this time, humans have a lot less control.
Luxury automaker Audi is showcasing its new RS7 model and to help, it's turning to a pilot car that reached speeds of nearly 150 mph on the Hockenheimring racetrack in Germany — with nobody behind the wheel.

The sleek sedan with a 560 turbo-charged V8 engine used ultra-precise location technology to maneuver itself as the crowd watched in astonishment. Audi tried to live stream the run online but its servers crashed — fortunately, there were cameras inside of the vehicle.
In this new century, the world's eyes are focused yet again on revolutionary technology, making the impossible of last century a modern-day reality.
