Phil Robertson's 16-Second Message About Why His Nephew Deserves to Be in Congress

Phil Robertson's 16-Second Message About Why His Nephew Deserves to Be in Congress

"Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson recently cut two ads that will air through Monday in support of his nephew Zach Dasher, a Republican running for Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District.

In the first 16-second ad, Robertson heralds his nephew's adherence to the Bible and the Second Amendment as positive qualifiers for elected office.

"Hey, Louisiana. Bibles and guns brought us here, and Bibles and guns will keep us here," Robertson proclaims. "Zach Dasher believes in both. That’s why I’m voting for him."

Watch it below:

In the second spot, Robertson again mentions Dasher's reverence for the Bible and calls him a "good man" who has a "servant's heart."

"On Tuesday, Miss Kay and I are voting for Zach Dasher. He loves his family, he's got a servant's heart, he knows his Bible," he said. "He is a good man. We vetted him."

The spots will run through election day next week.

The Robertson family has been supportive of Dasher's congressional campaign since he announced his intentions earlier this year.

As TheBlaze previously reported, Dasher recently came under fire and subsequently defended controversial comments he made about atheism and the Sandy Hook massacre.
