Here's What Happened When NYC Mayor de Blasio Was Introduced at Monday's Police Academy Graduation

"You did!"

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio was greeted with a smattering of boos when he was introduced as a speaker at Monday's NYPD police academy graduation.

While some did cheer the mayor, an audible chorus of boos rose up from the crowd also. You can hear it below:

WCBS-TV confirmed the boos.

Additionally, later in the speech de Blasio was heckled according to several people. When the mayor mentioned the officers will confront problems "you didn't create," someone reportedly yelled, "You did!" The audience cheered.

While the audience comment isn't audible in the YouTube stream from the event, the audience reaction is (the heckling was reportedly more clear on the CBS stream, which is not embeddable):
