“By the way, guess who thinks those mistakes took place as well?"
In an interview set to air Monday, Fox News' Megyn Kelly asked presumptive presidential candidate Jeb Bush if he would have authorized the invasion of Iraq in 2003 "knowing what we know now."
"I would have," the Republican answered. "And so would have Hillary Clinton, just to remind everybody, and so would have almost everybody that was confronted with the intelligence that they got."
"You don't think it was a mistake?" Kelly countered.
Bush — who didn't seem to factor in the "knowing what we know now" caveat in Kelly's question, as he appeared to answer based on what was known in 2003 — eventually acknowledged that missteps happened.
“By the way, guess who thinks those mistakes took place as well?" Bush rhetorically asked Kelly. "George W. Bush. So just for (a) newsflash to the world, if they're trying to find places where there's big space between me and my brother, this might not be one of those.”
