'A Delusional Whack-Job': Blaze Readers React to Planned Parenthood Boss’ Criticism of 20-Week Abortion Ban

How about a little “compassion and respect” for a human with only the womb for defense against harm?

TheBlaze posted a story earlier this week about Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, criticizing lawmakers for passing a 20-week abortion ban.

On the two-year anniversary of the conviction of infamous abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, the U.S. House on Wednesday passed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would ban abortions after nearly five months.

Richards went on a Twitter rant saying the ban lacks “compassion” and “respect” and is “unconstitutional” and will “hurt women.”

Here's what some readers of TheBlaze had to say about the issue:

PATTYHENRY

First of all, I believe that LIFE is a GIFT. I believe we “won the Lotto” to be able to experience life, love, all the pain, the glory = everything and then to know that we can choose ETERNAL life… our GIFT from our creator who loves us all so much… not as a judge or jury, or inhibitor but a teacher, a guide, a parent and the one being who will never let us down…never, no matter what…and all he wants from us is Faith and to acknowledge who he is. (The more we know him, the more we love him).

I understand why some women fight so hard for the “rights to their own bodies”… I mean, it’s been less than 100 years since women have had the right to vote, and I understand that some men were brutal to their wives/girlfriends, daughters, female employees …. but ladies, killing a new life growing in you does not give you freedom. The baby is being grown by God. Getting rid of the baby will enslave you for life. Unless you forgot how people get pregnant, you need to know that 99% of all pregnancies can be avoided…and in the case of rape, it’s still not the baby’s fault.

DOING THE RIGHT THING – having PRINCIPLES – that’s what makes us free. Abortion is not right, ESPECIALLY ABORTIONS AFTER 20 WEEKS.

Planned Parenthood is just another LIB $-making CON. It’s not a choice — it’s a BABY!

RabidPatriot

I had no idea that killing your own baby was a forward-looking idea.

love the kids

So, not only are they unable to decide to use free birth control, unable to choose to marry — after getting pregnant, five months isn’t enough time for them to decide to kill a baby.

Thelakers1

At 18 weeks we found out our soon-to-be-born child was a boy. I guess that’s not human enough yet for her.

The Carthaginians used to sacrifice babies for their gods. The Roman Republic was so disgusted by this they felt it was an excuse to invade their biggest rival — and the Romans reduced their city to ash. Even those who staged fights in the Coliseum found killing babies abhorrent.

Democrats haven’t caught on yet.

This woman’s logic is way beyond faulty. Why would a pregnant victim of rape wait over five months to abort? Her objections to this legislation are groundless.

JudgeSmails

I’m not for abortion, but then the other side said “what about rape?” Well, I wouldn’t want to have the child of a criminal either, so you give in on this one issue. Next thing you know, they take it to the extreme. Recreational sex should not mean you are “punished with a baby,” right Obozo? Nine-month old abortions…called women’s rights and women’s choice. It's eroding our moral foundations…life is no longer sacred…it's optional depending on how the woman decides. That's sick.

And to top it alllll off, they make us pay for it. We have no say in this issue — we just pay, and move on.

Tankboy2adfwd

So, a human is not a human until birth, but if I were to go destroy the eggs of some endangered bird or sea turtle, I would do federal time. Can someone explain that to me?

LakeHartwellSailor

The bill lacks “compassion and respect”?

How about a little “compassion and respect” for a human with only the womb for defense against harm?

Mom? Really?

BlazingInSC

“This ban would put barriers to care in front of rape survivors…”

Why would a rape victim carry out a pregnancy to five months?!? This lady is a delusional whack-job.

MSSoldier

So inserting a tube and sucking the brains out of a the partially exposed skull of an unborn child is compassion? Well, at least he can count Obama as an ally.

CanteenBoy

“It’s like this Doc… all of this kicking and squirming from this wonderful new person inside me is keeping me awake… I don’t want it anymore, it’s only five-months-old and I need my sleep.” — Planned Parenthood supporter

Voter713

This is not taking a step back. It’s finally taking a step in the right direction. Most women know they are pregnant before five months. By that time the baby can live outside the womb! My aunt being one. As human beings in general there has to be a line drawn…..well, we just drew one! I pray we draw enough to ban abortions in all areas except in terms of the physical life of the mother.

CitySlicker

I am really confused about this whole topic; if I were to be raped today, within 30 days I would know if I were pregnant as a result of that crime — sooner if I had a medical test completed. Why in the hell would it take me five months to decide to abort that baby? (Call it what you want, it is still, and always will be, a baby). This is all just a lame excuse to justify a woman’s “choice”!

“It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.” — Mother Teresa

"Richards called the abortion ban 'unconstitutional'"

Are you freaking serious about THAT?! Where the hell in the Constitution does a person have the right to kill their children? Satan has a death-grip on some people and he’s absolutely shaking their brains loose.

DipsyDiver

Apparently in the Planned Murderhood world, killing unborn women shows compassion and respect.

walkintruth

What is outrageous is they are using the rape victims as a reason why this bill is harmful — but even a rape victim doesn’t need five months to decide whether or not to have an abortion. Furthermore, most abortions are not because of rape. The statistics show a low amount of the abortions are due to rape or incest. These animals just want to profit off of killing innocent unborn children. It is all about money, not about compassion.

matt_c

So if I see someone suffering I should say, “Boy, I bet you wish your mother had been compassionate enough to abort you!”

Or if I see a mother struggling with an unruly or special needs child I should say, “You know it’s a shame that the Republicans didn’t let you abort those kids. You all would have been better off!”
