Jeb Bush Expected to Finally Announce Presidential Bid June 15

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush looks like he's finally going to make his presidential run official on June 15.

A Thursday morning tweet about a "big announcement" directs users to JebAnnouncement.com, which features a "coming soon" banner and information for an event at the Miami Dade Kendall Campus.

Bush's announcement will come a full six months after he first said he had decided to "actively explore" the possibility of running for president and formed his "Right to Rise" political action committee. Since then, he's racked up a ton of candidate-like travel and fundraising activities but without the restrictions that come with formal campaigning.

Bush has drawn the ire of many conservatives for his support of the controversial Common Core education standards, and for supporting a “pathway to citizenship” for the nation’s 11 million illegal immigrants. He has called the NSA’s bulk data collection the "best part" of the Obama administration.

Bush has faced scrutiny over the past few months over his brother’s decision to invade Iraq in 2003, a question he has seemed to waiver on. He was zinged for identifying himself as Hispanic on a 2009 voter registration form. Meanwhile, other conservatives have called him out for his praise of likely Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
