Really, Erin?': CNN Host's Strange Question for Conservative Activist Reportedly Targeted for Beheading

After it was revealed that outspoken conservative activist Pamela Gellar was reportedly targeted for beheading by terror suspect Usaama Rahim, CNN host Erin Burnett asked the would-be victim a question that has sparked some discussion online.

Rahim, who is suspected of being radicalized by Islamic State propaganda, was fatally shot after he came at police with a military knife. A second suspect, David Wright, was also arrested in connection to an alleged plot to behead police officers.

In light of the latest developments, Burnett pointed out that the Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled Gellar the “anti-Muslim movement’s most visible and flamboyant figurehead.”

The host then asked, “Are you stoking the flames? Do you on some level relish being the target of these attacks?”

“Who self-promotes to get killed?” Gellar shot back. “The Southern Poverty Law Center? Really, Erin?”

Gellar, the executive director of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, also dismissed the SPLC as an “uber left” group that doesn’t even track radical Islamic groups. Watch the segment via CNN below:
