Camera Captures 'Powerful Moment of Prayer' Following Mass Shooting at Charleston Church

"Bring us together, black, white, red, yellow, Christian, Muslim — it don’t make a difference, God!"

A camera captured an incredibly powerful moment of prayer in Charleston, South Carolina, following a reported mass shooting at a black church Wednesday night.

“We need You now! Give us strength,” a man is heard saying while leading a group in prayer. “Fill us with your Holy Ghost, because, God, that’s what it’s going to take to keep this community together.”

“Bring us together, black, white, red, yellow, Christian, Muslim — it don’t make a difference, God!” the man continued.

Watch the video posted online by Washington Post reporter Robert Costa:

In another video, the man prays for God to speak to the community through his “Holy Spirit.”

Police were still searching for the shooter on Wednesday night, described as a 21-year-old white male. It wasn't confirmed how many people were injured in the shooting.
