Authorities Release Footage Showing Arrest of Accused Charleston Killer Dylann Roof

Authorities on Tuesday released dashcam footage showing the arrest in North Carolina of suspected Charleston shooter Dylann Roof.

Roof, accused of gunning down and killing nine in a historically black Charleston church, was arrested after a 911 caller tipped him off to his location.

Footage shows law enforcement approach Roof's vehicle before placing him in cuffs and taking him into custody. After the arrest, officers can be seen high-fiving each other.

Authorities later recovered a handgun from Roof's car. Roof has been charged with nine counts of murder.
