Ann Coulter's Controversial 'Bet' About Mexicans, the Islamic State and Sharks
July 06, 2015
"I will bet you by the end of the weekend..."
Conservative commentator Ann Coulter once again addressed illegal immigration on Sunday, proclaiming that she believes more Americans were likely killed at the end of the weekend "by Mexicans than by ISIS or by sharks."
"Going into this weekend, the media was consumed with stories about, you know, 'Americans have to be on the lookout for ISIS attacks' and, 'Terror attack expected' — and, 'Ooh, shark attacks!" Coulter said on "Fox & Friends." "I will bet you by the end of the weekend, more Americans will have been killed by Mexicans than by ISIS or by sharks."
She also specifically addressed the shooting death of Kathryn Steinle last week in San Francisco at the hands of an alleged illegal immigrant who had been deported five times, saying that she believes the story is getting more attention than many other crimes involving illegals.
"Usually it is completely buried," Coulter said. "I would say this story is getting more coverage than immigrants killing Americans' usually do, because this happened some place liberals might go."

Businessman and presidential candidate Donald Trump also sounded off about Steinle's death in a statement issued on Friday.
