What Gov. Bobby Jindal Says Will Happen to Westboro Baptist Members Who Protest Louisiana Shooting Victims' Funerals
July 26, 2015
"They better not try that nonsense here."
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said authorities will incarcerate Westboro Baptist Church members if they protest outside the funerals of two women killed in a Lafayette theater shooting earlier this week.
"If they come here to Louisiana, if they disrupt this funeral, we're gonna lock 'em up," Jindal said Sunday on "Face the Nation."
"We're gonna arrest them. They shouldn't try that in Louisiana. We won't abide by that here," he added. "Let these families grieve. Let them celebrate their daughters', their children's, their spouses', their loved ones' lives in peace. They better not try that nonsense here."
Jindal suspended his presidential campaign since the shooting Thursday that also injured nine people.
