Former President George H.W. Bush Assures the World He’s OK After Neck Injury in One Very Bush-Esque Tweet

"Isn't this just the cutest photo ever?"

Former President George H.W. Bush's is on the mend after breaking a bone in his neck earlier this month — and he let the world know it in a joking tweet sent out on Thursday.

"Who knew jumping out of planes was safer than getting out of bed? Thanks to all for your kind get-well messages," read a tweet sent from the former president's verified Twitter account.

Bush, who famously celebrated his 90th birthday by going skydiving, was hospitalized earlier this month after suffering a fall in the family's summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine.

The 91-year-old former president was released from Maine Medical Center last week and is now recovering back in his home state of Texas. Doctors estimate that he will be fully recovered in as few as three or four months, Fox News reported.

Users expressed their support for "41" online, wishing him a speedy recovery and encouraging him to get well:
