Tissue Supply Company Says It's Cutting Ties With Planned Parenthood After Release of Controversial Videos

A research supply company says it's severing ties with Planned Parenthood following the release of a series of videos that appear to show Planned Parenthood executives discussing the sale of fetal tissue.

The California-based StemExpress notified Planned Parenthood and Congress of its decision on Friday, Politico reported. The company had been asked by the House Energy and Commerce and Senate Judiciary committees to explain its relationship with the healthcare organization that is under investigation.

In a statement issued Wednesday, StemExpress said it "unequivocally denies" allegations about its practices made in the latest video released by the the Center for Medical Progress.

"StemExpress unequivocally denies the allegations made by Holly O’Donnell and The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) and reaffirms that it has never obtained blood or tissue samples from a patient without first obtaining consent," the statement earlier this week said. "Like all of their previous material, today’s video by CMP is deceptively edited and falsely worded to suggest impropriety or illegality where none exists."

StemExpress did not immediately respond to TheBlaze's request for comment Friday afternoon.
