The gunman who shot and killed two journalists on live television before later taking his own life had a wig, six magazines of ammunition and a to-do list in the getaway rental car.
A police inventory of items, tweeted out by WUSA-TV reporter Garrett Haake, found inside the car Vester Flanagan fled in after fatally shooting WDBJ journalists Alison Parker and Adam Ward 17 stamped letters, a briefcase with three license plates, a shawl and an umbrella.

The inventory also lists "assorted handwritten and typed letter/notes," a “bookbag w/ random papers/cards" and a "white iPhone w/ case." The car was a rental from Enterprise and contained the rental agreement inside.
Enterprise did not immediately respond to a request for comment from TheBlaze. The rental car company referred other outlets to law enforcement.
“When situations involve the police, we always - as a matter of policy - refer all related media queries to the local authorities. They are in the best position to know all of the facts and which details should and shouldn’t be publicly shared," an Enterprise representative told MSNBC.
Police in Virginia discovered Flanagan with a "self-inflicted wound" inside his car following a very brief chase several hours after the shooting. He later died at a hospital.
Police found the car Flanagan owned at an airport about four hours after the massacre.
