It was not a question that went over well with the candidates — or the audience.
CNBC moderator John Harwood drew immediate boos from the crowd when he asked Mike Huckabee if Donald Trump had the "moral authority to unite the country."
"It's unreal," Marco Rubio said on a hot mic.
"Such a nasty question!" Trump echoed.
Huckabee ultimately responded with an answer supportive of the real estate tycoon.
"I love Donald Trump. He's a good man. I'm wearing a Trump tie tonight — get over that one," the former Arkansas governor said.
