British Special Forces Disguised in Burkas Raid Islamic State Bunker Housing Jihadi Chief

Bold members of Britain’s Special Air Service donned the full-length garments of Muslim women while conducting a raid of a bunker housing Islamic terrorists, the U.K.'s Daily Express reported.

The brave operation took place earlier this month, in the same vicinity where the infamous British rebel Jihadi John was blown up in a drone strike.

The eight-man SAS squad was able to sneak through the Islamic State’s de facto capital of Raqqa and take down a jihadi commander in his own home, all while wearing burqas.

Posing as the wives of Islamic State chiefs, they managed to forge their way through to the group’s headquarters.

The SAS members, who came prepared by hiding assault weapons, grenades and ammo beneath the ankle-length gowns, also killed several jihadi fighters, lifting the veil-like garments to open fire on the bewildered militants, who had no time to react.

Local Syrians working with the secret service to help quash the Islamic State aided in the mission, driving SAS members through Raqqa in a Toyota pick-up truck — the favored vehicle of jihadi murderers.

After maneuvering through the town they arrived at the house of a senior terrorist chief and used a transmitter to report the location and coordinates to a U.S. Air Force AWAC mission control aircraft hovering thousands of feet above.

The spy plane then relayed the information onto a U.S. Reaper drone, which fired a Hellfire missile into the building seconds later, killing the Islami State commander and several militants. As soon as the militants heard the explosion, they ran out to the streets, only to find the burka-clad troopers, who proceeded to take down several jihadis in an intense shootout.

The SAS have conducted dozens of missions in Iraq and Syria over the past few months in a British-American effort to hasten the destruction of radical Islamic terror groups.

Sources told the Daily Express that the elite force is poised to increase the intensity of its operations still after it was revealed that an extra 200 U.S. special operations commandos arrived in Iraq last week.

U.S. troops are working closely with the SAS and SBS, Britain’s Royal Navy special forces regiment, to fight extremists inside Syria and Iraq.

“Their primary target is the individual who has been dubbed the new Jihadi John,” sources told Express. “He is at the top of the kill list.”
