Judge Jeanine Pirro Delivers Fiery Warning About the 'Irony of Today's Liberalism' and the 'Chipping Away' of Constitutional Rights

NASHVILLE — Fox News host Jeanine Pirro delivered an impassioned address at the NRB International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, on Tuesday night, warning a packed room of Christian media professionals that free speech is in peril.

"Although it seems that the protections that we have in the Constitution are protections that no one can take away from us, I want to tell you that they're already being taken away," Pirro said during the dinner event. "The irony of today's liberalism that is accepting of anything and everything is that it is sanctioning discrimination against Christians."

The TV host encouraged the Christian radio executives and media professionals in attendance to "defend free speech" and spoke extensively about the perils of radical Islam, specifically taking aim at calls among some to curtail First Amendment rights in an effort not to offend others.

"[The Constitution] is the supreme law of the land and when you think about our founding fathers, why did they make free speech and freedom of religion the first and most important amendment?" Pirro rhetorically asked. "Because it is fundamental."

She warned that the U.S. today is seeing a "chipping away of that Constitutional right," saying that evangelical Christians stand the chance of losing their right to openly address the issues of faith that they are most passionate about.

"The First Amendment and religious freedom is the cornerstone of this nation," Pirro continued, offering up a passionate call to the audience. "Free speech in America is not negotiable, no matter what the threats are, no matter who's making those threats, no matter what the consequences that we might fear are and no matter what someone else's feelings are, irrespective of our concerns about retribution from Islamic extremists, your being offended is not an excuse for my free speech."

Her speech also addressed what she believes have been efforts from the Obama administration to sacrifice free speech, warned that the genocide in the Middle East isn't really all that far away and said that Shariah law "cannot co-exist with the Constitution."

Pirro even addressed the contentious Muhammad cartoons that were at the center of the 2015 terror attack in Garland, Texas.

"You're not going to tell Americans that we can't draw a cartoon because it makes you feel bad," she said.
