I Don't Like It That Way': Chris Matthews Interrupts Guest to Instruct Her Not to Say 'Pro-Abortion
February 25, 2016
“Pro-abortion rights.”
During a segment about Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on MSNBC's "Hardball" Wednesday evening, host Chris Matthews interrupted a guest to tell her not to describe someone as “pro-abortion” but rather “pro-abortion rights.”
“Donald Trump has Rudy Giuliani behind him, who is pro-gay, he's also pro-abortion,” Matthew's guest April Ryan began.
“Abortion rights,” Matthews interrupted. “Pro-abortion rights.”
“I like the way she said it,” fellow panelist Matt Schlapp, chairman of the American Conservative Union, interjected.
“I don't like it that way,” Matthews said.
“I'm sorry,” Ryan said.
