Trump Rips Select Fox News Personalities to Hannity's Face — Watch How He Responds

Sean Hannity failed to offer a strong defense of his colleagues Monday night after Donald Trump appeared on the network and trashed some of the "bad people" Fox News employs "who shouldn't be on the air."

The familiar attack on the network from Trump started when Hannity read several news headlines about GOP insiders plotting to seize the nomination from the billionaire during a contested convention. One of the stories mentioned the name of Karl Rove, the architect of former President George W. Bush's campaigns.

"I am not a fan of Karl Rove. I think he's terrible," Trump told Hannity.

The real estate mogul said when the South Carolina primary results were rolling in he saw Rove appear on the network.

"I'm watching this guy, it's almost like, in fact I joking called a friend of yours at Fox. I said, 'I'm watching Fox. Do you think I won?' I won by landslide," he said.

"You obviously weren't watching my show," Hannity quipped back.

"No, no. Your show is great," Trump conceded.

He then doubled down on his criticism of the network.

"Look, you have some bad people at Fox," Trump said. "You've got some good people too, but you've got some bad people."

"Wait a minute. In all fairness, have you watched MSNBC? They suck," Hannity said.

"But they do treat me well!" Trump countered.

"And I have to tell you. I have great respect for Fox. You and O'Reilly, although he can be a little bit rough, and Greta. And so many others. Steve Doocey, Fox and Friends, Brian. But I will tell you, you have a couple people that shouldn't be on," Trump added. "Stephen Hayes should not be on the shows. He shouldn't be on. He's so biased. Karl Rove, he still thinks Romney won! Did you remember after the election? 'Romney won, Romney won!' They had to pull him off the air, the election ended about four hours ago. 'I'm telling you Romney won!' He shouldn't be on the air."

Hannity did not respond with a defense of his colleagues, but instead chose to pivot the conversation away from the network.

"Let me go back to Hillary for a second," the host said.
