"First two times nothing happened..."
Don't try this experiment at home.
A video posted online this week captured the explosive reaction that took place when molten salt — salt in a liquid state, heated approximately 1400 degrees — was dropped into an aquarium full of water.
"First two times nothing happened, just a little splattering," the Backyard Scientist wrote in the YouTube video's description. "On the third try... BAM!"
