Here’s What Happened When Pro-Choice Protesters Outside the Supreme Court Were Asked About Restrictions on Abortion

In a new video released by the Media Research Center, protesters in favor of abortion declined to answer a question about whether or not they would support restrictions on abortion.

Supporters and opponents of abortion gathered outside the Supreme Court March 2 as the court heard oral arguments in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt, a case regarding a Texas law that requires abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of the facility. Supporters of the law contend that the regulation protects the health and safety of women, while opponents argue that it places an undue burden on patients and abortion providers.

MRCTV's Dan Joseph asked pro-choice protesters at the rally, “At what point in a pregnancy should it be illegal for a woman to terminate a pregnancy?”

Several activists didn’t answer the question. Some declined to speak with what they called an “anti-choice outlet.” Others said they don’t support restrictions at all. One equated restrictions on abortion to "forced motherhood" and "female enslavement."

Some activists also offered their thoughts on women in the pro-life movement.

One activist called pro-life women “deluded.”

“They’re deluded, they’re marginalized, they’re oppressed,” she said. “And they’re a shameful force.”

Another called pro-life women “absolutely brainwashed.”

TheBlaze also spoke with those in attendance at the protests outside of the Supreme Court earlier this month, asking protesters, “When does life begin?”
