Wild NBA Playoff Game Features Record-Setting 3-Point Spree and a Pass Bounced Off Defender's Head

In the course of beating the Atlanta Hawks 123-98 in Wednesday night's NBA playoff game, the Cleveland Cavaliers set a record, hitting 25 3-point shots in one game.

The previous record for 3-pointers in a game was 23, a mark held by both the Orlando Magic and the Houston Rockets, and the postseason record was the Golden State Warriors' 21. Both records were in obvious danger as the Cavs sank 18 shots from downtown in the first half of the game — also an NBA record.

With just over seven minutes remaining in the game and Cleveland in control, Cleveland's Mo Williams appeared to be passing the ball to teammate Richard Jefferson. However, the ball bounced off the head of Atlanta's Mike Muscala head, ricocheting to Cleveland's Iman Schumpert, who didn't hesitate in launching the team's 23rd 3-pointer.

With the victory, Cleveland leads the series against Atlanta, 2-0.
