Meteorologist Forced to Put Sweater On During Live Broadcast Because Station Received 'A Lot of Emails' About Her Dress

"You want me to put this on?"

Some KTLA-TV viewers from Los Angeles, California, didn't like meteorologist Liberté Chan's outfit Saturday — and they weren't afraid to let the station know.

In the video, Chan was presenting Saturday morning's weather report when, out of nowhere, a floating hand appeared, holding a cardigan.

"You want me to put this on?" a bewildered Chan asked. "Why? 'Cause it's cold?"

An off-camera voice quickly responded, "We're getting a lot of emails."

Based on a Facebook Live video Chan recorded after her broadcast, when she read some of the emails she received about her dress, it became clear that viewers, apparently, took issue with the  reporter's outfit, which left her arms exposed.

"Liberté Chan's dress is totally inappropriate for Saturday morning newscast," one email reportedly read. "Looks like she didn't make it home from her cocktail party last night."

Another wrote that the network's producers "should not have allowed" Chan to wear the dress during the broadcast.

In response to the complaints, Chan asked, "Can we talk about my weather performance?"
