Security guards told police they saw a group of men loading the statue into a pickup truck.
MIAMI (AP) — Police in South Florida say they have a "person of interest" in the theft of a naked Donald Trump statue.
Miami police said on the department's official Twitter account that the statue of the Republican presidential nominee was taken from the Wynwood arts district on Thursday.
WSVN-TV reports security guards in Wynwood told police they saw a group of men loading the statue into a pickup truck. A witness told investigators he took a picture of the truck as it left the neighborhood. Police ran the license plate and are now looking for the registered owner of the truck as a "person of interest."
It is one of the life-size naked Trump statues that artist collective INDECLINE installed around the country in August.
