Franklin Graham says God interfered in the U.S. election, not Russia
December 19, 2016
As pundits debate whether or not Russians influenced the U.S. presidential election, evangelist Franklin Graham is suggesting that someone else certainly did.
"Since the election, there's been a lot of discussion as to how Donald Trump won the election," Graham said Saturday at the president-elect's "thank you" stop in Mobile, Alabama, according to AL.com.
"I believe it was God," the son of well-known evangelist Billy Graham said. "God showed up. He answered the prayers of hundreds of thousands of people across this land that have been praying for our country."
Graham offered a prayer at Trump's rally at the Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
This wasn't the first time the theologian has speculated that God played a role in Trump's election. On Wednesday, he asked his Twitter followers who had a hand in the election — Russians or God.
