Benghazi hero Kris Paronto rebuked Hillary Clinton this week after she urged President Donald Trump in a viral tweet to send an army of government aid to Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.
What did she say?
Clinton called on Trump to send a full barrage of U.S. government support to its island territory after Hurricane Maria completely devastated the island earlier this month.
President Trump, Sec. Mattis, and DOD should send the Navy, including the USNS Comfort, to Puerto Rico now. These a… https://t.co/r0S8ROhWj0— Hillary Clinton (@Hillary Clinton) 1506269090.0
Millions of Americans have urged the government to send additional aid relief to Puerto Rico after stories of the utter devastation and the lack of help surfaced earlier this week. The mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico's capital, even called out Trump this week, which garnered a fiery response from Trump.
How did Paronto respond?
He said: "Wish u had that sense of urgency while u were watching the ISR feed during our 5th firefight in B-ghazi...or did u not consider us Americans?"
The response went wildly viral and garnered tens of thousands of retweets and "likes."
Paronto was one of a number of soldiers who defended a CIA compound in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012 during a direct assault from Islamic extremists. The attack became a huge scandal in the Obama administration after it was made public that the soldiers had been denied additional support and resources and that then-President Barack Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were fully aware of what was going on in live time.
Four Americans died that day, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.
