A new poll shows how many Americans approve of special counsel Robert Mueller's handling of the Russian investigation, versus President Donald Trump's handling of the same.
While 47 percent of Americans approve of Mueller's handling of the Russian investigation, only 32 percent approve of Trump's handling of the investigation, a difference of 15 percentage points.
Another 34 percent disapprove of Mueller's handling of the Russian investigation, while 56 percent disapprove of Trump's handling.
Overall, when participants were asked whether the things Trump says about the Russian investigation are true, only 8 percent said they were completely true, while 24 percent said they were completely false.
Another 28 perent said they were mostly true, while 32 percent said they were mostly false.
The poll was conducted Dec. 14-17 from a national sample of 1,001 participants. It has an error margin of plus or minus 3.8 percentage points.
