Lawyer berates restaurant workers for speaking Spanish - then the internet takes over

A lawyer who was recorded berating workers in New York City for speaking Spanish is now under siege by the media after his identity was discovered online and other videos were uncovered of him.

Here's what he said

Aaron Schlossberg apparently got upset that workers were speaking Spanish, and began loudly lodging a complaint to the manager of the New York City restaurant.

"Your staff is speaking Spanish to customers when they should be speaking English!" he said. "Every person I listen to. He spoke it, he spoke it, she's speaking it. It's America!"

As the workers began to argue with him, he threatened to call federal immigration authorities and accused them of being illegal immigrants.

"And my guess is that they're not documented," he said. "So my next call is to ICE to have each one of them kicked out of my country. If they have the balls to come here and live off of my money, I pay for their welfare, I pay for their ability to be here."

"Honey, I'm calling ICE!" he said to one of the workers.

Here's a news report about Schlossberg's outburst:

The video was posted on Facebook and quickly went viral with millions of views. After he was identified, some people went on Yelp to ruin his rating on the business review site.

Online sleuths have discovered other videos of Schlossberg, including one where he yells at Jews who are demonstrating in support of Muslim advocate Linda Sarsour, and another where he berates a man for looking like an "ugly f***ing immigrant."

On Thursday, it was reported that Schlossberg was kicked out of the law office he was renting. Local lawmakers also filed a disciplinary grievance against him.

Reporters from the New York Post and others have been trying to get more comments from Schlossberg, but he has thus far refused.
