Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey slammed for eating Chick-fil-A. His response leaves both sides outraged.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was raked over the coals this weekend after he posted to social media that he had eaten at Chick-fil-A, a target of eternal liberal outrage.

What happened?

On Saturday, Dorsey tweeted a phone screenshot showing he had just eaten at the fast food chain:

Unfortunately, it did not take long for the hate to pour in. Many accused Dorsey of aiding Chick-fil-A's alleged bigotry.

Many liberals are sensitive about Chick-fil-A because of the restaurant’s Christian values, which progressives argue equates to discrimination against people in same-sex relationships.

"Please delete this or follow up with how much free advertising you're going to give GLAAD,” one person wrote.

Another added: "mmmmm hate chicken never tasted so homophobic."

"On behalf of the whole LGBTQ community, Jack, kindly boost your head out of your ass," another said.

Dorsey’s apparent misgiving was brought to wider attention after broadcast journalist Soledad O’Brien criticized Dorsey’s restaurant choice, which came during gay pride month.

How did Jack respond?

In response to O'Brien's tweet, Dorsey essentially apologized without actually apologizing.

But it didn't take long for Dorsey to draw ire from people on the other side of the issue, those who see nothing wrong with Chick-fil-A.

"Oh come on, man, gay people like good sandwiches too! Besides, not every business transaction should require a political litmus test," one person reacted.

"Why is it because I live my life so gay, That I should not eat Chick-fil-A? I'm gonna eat it anyway!" another person responded.

Meanwhile, others reminded Dorsey of all the good Chick-fil-A does, such as community service and giving away free food in times of crisis and need.
