The View' co-host baits Harris Faulkner on being only black woman with own Fox News show. Nice try.

Not that "The View" is ever guilty of trying to corner conservative guests with gotcha questions — no, never.

But the inconceivable actually took place Thursday as co-host Sunny Hostin baited Fox News' Harris Faulkner with a question about being the “only woman of color with her own daily show” on the cable network.

Hostin remarked that “when I turn on Fox — and I do sometimes — and I see you, I feel like I’m looking at a unicorn.”

What else did Hostin say?

She also observed that Faulkner has been criticized for the network's coverage of issues that “affect the black community" and that specifically she didn't support Colin Kapernick and other NFL players who've taken a knee during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and treatment of minorities.

“Do you get flak from the black community on your positions and for being the only black woman [host] on Fox News?” Hostin asked the anchor.

Faulker replied, "I get flak from everybody, which is how I know I’m living my truth.”

“Do you feel a certain responsibility to the black community?” Hostin soon wondered.

“I feel responsible to everyone,” Faulkner answered, which elicited applause from the audience. She also said her daughters are biracial and that through her job she's in a "unique position."

Then came the zinger...

“And I know you say 'the only one on Fox,'” Faulkner added to Hostin. “But where's MSNBC’s? Where's CNN’s? I think HLN — and that’s new.”

Hostin managed some obligatory nods and "mmm hmms," but the rest of the table was silent.

Here's the clip. The relevant portion starts soon after the 3-minute mark:
