Biden admin plans to 'rig' AI systems with 'woke' ideology to fight 'algorithmic discrimination' and advance 'equity,' watchdog group reports

The Biden administration plans to "rig" artificial intelligence systems with "woke" ideology to fight "algorithmic discrimination" and advance "equity," according to a watchdog organization.

The American Accountability Foundation, a conservative nonprofit government watchdog group, released a new report over the weekend detailing how the Biden administration plans to ensure that leftist ideas are implanted into AI.

"They have plans to rig AI in the name of fighting 'algorithmic discrimination,' 'harmful bias,' and 'data that fails to account for existing systemic biases in American society,'" the AAF stated in a recent Twitter post.

Science and technology policy director Arati Prabhakar touted an executive order signed by Biden in February, which she said "promotes data equity."

"It instructs agencies to focus on emerging threats such as algorithmic discrimination in automated technology. And it also tells them to make sure that their own use of AI and automated systems advances equity," Prabhakar stated in March.

In May, the National Science and Technology Council's Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence, whose highest-ranking member is Vice President Kamala Harris, released a 56-page report demanding that AI systems should be used to "promote equity." The report called for additional research to reduce "unwanted fabrications and harmful biases in generative AI."

"Properly developed, AI can help provide data-driven inputs as society tries to address issues in domains that advance equity, climate change adaptation and mitigation, employment, and healthcare, especially for those traditionally underserved. AI often exacerbates bias, but ongoing research has shown that it can also be used to identify and mitigate harmful bias in current practice," the May report stated.

The report also noted that AI could be used to identify "inequities stemming from systemic, structural, and individual bias."

The AAF pointed to the National AI Advisory Committee's chair, Miriam Vogel, as another example of the Biden administration attempting to use AI to advance left-leaning ideologies.

Vogel, the president and CEO of EqualAI, "a non-profit created to reduce unconscious bias in our AI and promote responsible AI governance," was appointed NAIAC chair in April 2022.

According to the AAF, EqualAI teamed up with the World Economic Forum in 2021 to launch the "EqualAI Badge Program," which trains company executives "at companies developing or using AI for critical functions to ensure their brand is known for its responsible and inclusive practices."

A May report from the National AI Advisory Committee "puts forward plans for the federal government to force private companies to adopt Biden's 'AI Risk Management Framework,'" the AAF stated.

The report explained that the Biden administration "should also encourage private sector adoption" of the framework.

The AAF said it plans to release additional investigative evidence that the administration plans to embed the "woke" agenda in AI.

Tom Jones, AAF president, told Fox News Digital, "Biden is being advised on technology policy, not by scientists, but by racially obsessed social academics and activists. We're already seen the biggest tech firms in the world, like Google under Eric Schmidt, use their power to push the left's agenda. This would take the tech/woke alliance to a whole new, truly terrifying level."

The White House did not respond to a request for comment, Fox News Digital reported.
