Pelosi and Democrats are blinded by 'white hot rage and hatred' against President Trump, says Ted Cruz

He also made a prediction about where the impeachment movement will end up

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the Democrats in the House of Representatives

Cruz was asked during an interview on Fox News to respond to Democratic actions taken against members of the Trump administration in furtherance of their various committee investigations.

"Look, the House right now is all politics all the time," Cruz replied.

"Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats are driven by just this blinding white hot rage and hatred of the president, they're all about indictments, they're all about investigations and subpoenas, and ultimately I think we'll see next year impeachment because their base is filled with rage," he explained.

"I'll tell ya, the American people, the American people are happy the economy's booming, are happy that we've got the lowest unemployment in fifty years, are happy that we have the lowest African unemployment ever recorded, the lowest Hispanic unemployment ever recorded," Cruz continued.

"And so I wish the Democrats would stop playing politics and instead focus on common sense policies that focus on jobs and the real needs of the American people."

Cruz went to address the contentious issue of immigration by arguing that children were being brutalized by the lack of political leadership at the U.S. border.

"Congress has screwed this up," he explained, adding that Democrats had added loopholes to immigration policy that encourage and reward the abuse of children.
