FBI raids home of Eric Adams' chief fundraiser — mayor abruptly cancels DC meetings to return to NYC

The Federal Bureau of Investigation Thursday raided the home of a fundraiser for New York City Democratic Mayor Eric Adams, according to multiple outlets.

Brianna Suggs' Brooklyn home was searched by FBI agents Thursday morning shortly after Adams announced that he was on his way to Washington, D.C., to attend meetings regarding the immigration crisis.

According to Suggs' LinkedIn profile, she was a "Fundraiser and Director of Logistics" from 2019 to 2021 for the mayor's campaign. She raised more than $18 million for Adams' campaign, her profile stated. It also revealed that Suggs worked for Adams when he was the Brooklyn borough president.

For the past two years, Suggs has been employed as a fundraiser for the Kings County Democratic County Committee, where she is "tasked to organize and manage fundraising activities for the Kings County Democratic County Committee, to ensure the success of the party and the ability of the party to assist Democratic candidates running for office," her profile states.

Campaign finance records reveal that the Adams 2025 campaign paid Suggs' company, Suggs Solutions LLC, $98,286.20, Fox News Digital reported.

According to the New York Post, Suggs' firm has received more than $150,000 from Adams' campaign team since 2021. Campaign finance filings revealed that Suggs received over $16,500 in personal payments from Adams' accounts, the outlet added.

One of Suggs' neighbors told the Post they "heard screaming" and "helicopters" earlier in the day. The neighbor also stated that the Suggs' home is boarded up.

Before the raid on Thursday morning, Adams posted a short video on X explaining that he was on his way to Washington, D.C., to "meet with our Congressional delegation and the White House to address this real issue with the asylum and migrant issue in our city and we will keep you updated as the day goes."

A spokesperson for Adams told Fox News Digital that the mayor had "returned to New York City to address the matter" and that the meetings would be "rescheduled as soon as possible."

Adams' 2021 campaign counsel, Vito Pitta, said, "The campaign has always held itself to the highest standards."

"The campaign will, of course, comply with any inquiries as appropriate," Pitta added.

Suggs did not respond to a request for comment, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for Southern District and the FBI declined Fox News Digital's request for comment.
