Hamas official calls for 'violent acts' against US and UK 'interests' amid war with Israel

One of the top Hamas officials has openly called for violence against Israeli allies, including the U.S. and UK. The comments come after two months of warfare in Gaza.

Sami Abu Zuhri, the leader of the political department of Hamas abroad, stated: "When (Secretary of State Antony) Blinken is justifying the killing of women and children, the sons of our nation should say to him: You are the enemy, just like (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu, and you must pay the price, just like Netanyahu."

Zuhri made the remarks on Al-Aqsa on December 5, just a few days after the end of a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas terrorists. During the time of the ceasefire, Hamas freed around 100 hostages who were abducted on October, when 1,200 Israelis were slaughtered during a surprise attack by Hamas.

Al-Aqsa TV is a network within Gaza, which spews news and propaganda, according to Fox News Digital.

Following the ceasefire, Israel launched a heavy ground attack in Gaza, claiming that the terrorist group did not uphold its own part of the temporary truce. While Hamas claimed that they only had soldiers left in their custody, Israel was not convinced.

"If our nation thinks that the heroic acts of Al-Qassam Brigades release it from its responsibility — that is a misconception and a mistaken assessment that should be discarded," Zuhri said.

"The Al-Qassam Brigades are doing what they must do, and the people of Gaza are as steadfast as they must be." The brigade that Zuhri referred to is the military wing of Hamas, which led the October 7 attack and has used Gazan civilians as human shields in their fight with Israel.

"Now it is our nation's turn to pressure the Americans to stop this war," Zuhri went on. "We need violent acts against American and British interests everywhere, as well as the interests of all the countries that support the occupation."

"They must pay a price for the blood of our women and children who are being killed in cold blood in the streets of Gaza."

"They must pay a price so that they know that Gaza is not alone, and that when they gave the order to kill, they should have been prepared to pay the necessary price."

Zuhri apparently did not address the 1,200 non-combatants brutally murdered in early October by his own forces, which Israel understood to be an unprovoked attack.
