Horrific video shows heartless thug punching baby and screaming 'Shut up': Report

The NYPD is seeking the whereabouts of a man who was caught on video assaulting a small child and reportedly screaming for it to "shut up," according to the Daily Mail.

What are the details?

An unidentified man was seen in a disturbing video punching a baby and reportedly shouting "shut up" at the child while the two were at a Manhattan-area restaurant over the weekend.

The suspect, according to reports, reportedly struck the child so hard that it fell to the ground.

The scene was said to have unfolded at the Red Star restaurant on Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. at W. 147th St. about 5:40 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

The Daily Mail reported that authorities rushed to the scene after a bystander called 911 to report that they'd seen a man punch a baby, but both the suspect and the child were nowhere to be seen by the time police arrived.

Police say that the suspect entered the eatery with the child around 5:40 p.m. local time and soon struck the child, who immediately crumpled to the ground. At that point, the suspect reportedly placed the child in a stroller and fled from the scene — with the child in tow — on foot.

Authorities are now seeking the identity of the man — who is described as a black male between the ages of 20 and 30 years old — as well as his whereabouts. Anyone with information on the suspect or the assault is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
