'Israel spies' killed and strung up on electrical pole as mob in West Bank cheers

There were two men accused of spying for Israel who were killed in the West Bank on Friday night, and their bodies were apparently dragged through alleyways before being strung up from a pylon by a raving mob.

The two men were fatally shot in the city of Tulkarm by armed Palestinian groups. One Palestinian journalist who anonymously provided details about the incident said the two men were stomped on before being hung up from an electrical tower, according to the Telegraph.

After the men were hung up, they were reportedly dumped in a waste container.

Photos and video footage of the tragic event could be seen on social media. Hundreds of Palestinians can be seen gathered around the bodies, capturing the horrific situation on their phones.

The two men were apparently accused of helping Israeli security forces execute a raid against Hamas terrorists earlier this month. The two men are believed to have been in their late 20s and early 30s, according to the report.

The Tulkarm Brigades made a statement, claiming that there was "no immunity for any informant or traitor," adding that "[w]e are on the lookout for him and we will hold him accountable."

As a result, one of the informant's families attempted to distance itself, saying that they had cut off the family member "without regret." This came after the man had apparently confessed to working with Israeli security forces and provided details about his activities in the area.

“We affirm our complete innocence,” the family said, “and we won’t allow anyone to blame us for his guilt.”

The local terror group that carried out the executions is apparently affiliated with the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, an armed part of the secular nationalist Fatah party.

After the two men were killed, the group posted a statement, saying: "We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves," according to the Times of Israel.

The tensions have only escalated in the West Bank since Hamas' terrorist attacks against Israel on October 7, which resulted in the death of 1,200 people and another 240 taken to Gaza as hostages. The attack was the deadliest in Israel's history.

In response, the Jewish state has vowed to annihilate Hamas from Gaza, which has been in control of the small area since 2007. Israel has carried out air and ground attacks against Gaza consistently since mid-October.
