Pennsylvania man gets 3,000 years in prison for child sex crimes, girl said she was raped so regularly it 'became as normal as brushing your teeth'

A Pennsylvania man was sentenced to 3,000 years in prison after being convicted of child sex crimes. The young victim said she was raped so regularly it "became as normal as brushing your teeth."

In November, Matthew Perry of Greensboro was convicted of 13,143 felony counts of sex crimes against children, including 2,190 felony charges of rape of a child under 13; 2,190 felony charges of deviant sexual intercourse with a child; 2,191 felony charges of aggravated indecent assault; 2,190 felony charges of incest of a minor; 2,191 felony charges of indecent assault; and 2,191 felony charges of corruption of minors.

On Tuesday, Perry was sentenced to 3,000 years in prison, and he isn't eligible for parole until the year 3523.

The 44-year-old Pennsylvania man sexually abused the girl at least once a day for six years, according to authorities.

Greene County District Attorney David Russo told WTAE-TV, "The child was raped over and over and over again. So why wouldn’t you prosecute the one count for every single time the child was raped?"

"This brave little girl testified at trial that being raped every day became as normal as brushing your teeth," Russo added. "The testimony was horrifying."

"I am proud to announce Matthew Perry would have to live for 3,000 years in order to pay his debt to society," said Russo. "This is an unprecedented conviction and sentence and sets a milestone in the fight against sexual predators. I hope others district attorneys follow our lead in our mission to protect children."

"Today marks a milestone in the prosecution of sexual predators,” Russo added. "The victims, in this case, were very happy with the sentence, and they feel justice has been served. I’m proud I can serve my community prosecuting cases, which are leading to longer and more appropriate sentences against sexual predators."

Perry was arrested for the child sexual abuse while he was awaiting trial over charges of raping another girl. In June 2017, Perry allegedly fled after accusations of raping a girl but was captured in August 2021.

Law & Crime reported, "During his life as a fugitive, his wife, Cheyenna Perry, 40, took videos and photographs of a girl in what was reportedly described as sexual acts, and she sent that material to her husband. She pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 3.5 to 7 years in prison in exchange for cooperating with authorities against her husband."
