A recovered white supremacist tells his story

Luke, a self-described "recovered white supremacist," called into "The Lawrence Jones Show" this weekend to deliver a powerful testimony to Lawrence Jones about his own past and his discovery of love in a new faith in Jesus Christ.

He reported that most of the white supremacists he knew sat around complaining about their lives. He warned that their protests could be dangerous because they are letting out a lot of pent-up frustration.

He also said many of them espouse big government ideals -- in direct opposition to the frequent accusation that supremacists are truly right leaning.  He found their arguments "just dumb," citing Dietrich Bonhoeffer's remarks on stupidity that Glenn Beck explored last week.

Violence broke out this weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia, when white supremacists gathered to protest the removal of a statue of Confederate general Robert E. Lee. Counter protesters from Black Lives Matter and other left leaning groups showed up, and Heather Heyer was killed when Alex Fields Jr. ran his car into a crowd of them.

To see more from Lawrence, visit his channel onTheBlaze and listen live to “The Lawrence Jones Show” every Saturday from noon–3 p.m. ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
