He traveled the world 'relying on kindness' – now his adventures are a Netflix series
July 13, 2017
Leon Logothetis has traveled around the world relying only on the kindness of others. He shared his story on Thursday’s “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson,” explaining why he decided to leave behind a “normal” life and embark on his own adventure.
His new book, “Live, Love, Explore: Discover the Way of the Traveler a Roadmap to the Life You Were Meant to Live,” is billed as equal parts a self-help guide and a travel memoir. Logothetis was living a successful but conventional life working in finance in London until he decided to break the mold.
He ended up riding a vintage yellow motorbike around the world, relying on the kindness of strangers to get through each day. Today, he has visited more than 90 countries and traveled on every continent. His adventures have been documented in his two books as well as in a new Netflix series called “The Kindness Diaries.”
Logothetis explained that the main takeaway for his story is to remember that good things are happening in the world – despite what they may be showing on the news. We gain a lot simply by reaching out to other people, learning from them and treating life as an adventure.
To see more from Doc, visit his channel on TheBlaze and listen live to “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson” weekdays 6–9 a.m. ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
